AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT


We are currently looking for:

   FEMALE SINGERS

   for an international crossover classical-pop female ensemble

  1. •age range: 21 – 35

  2. •trained voices of all female ranges and types

  3. •versatile in multiple genres: classical legit, pop & Broadway

  4. •preferred singing experience in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Latin


AUDITION SUBMISSION DEADLINE: May 31, 2008

  3. ★Audition tracks (mp3 preferred, or CD/cassette) comprised of:

  4. ✴spoken introduction: your name, hometown, and the repertoire featured on your recording

  5. ✴one aria or art song in English

  6. ✴one aria/art song in a language other than English (Romance languages preferred — Spanish, Italian, French, Latin)

  7. ✴one pop or Broadway song in English

  8. ✴two different vocalises, which you feel show your voice at its best, and display the range of your voice

Applications must reach us by May 31, 2008 (email or snail mail). Finalists will be contacted by the June 2 for a live audition to be held in the Twin Cities in June 2008.


This is a professional audition. Please be complete in your audition packet. We need to hear all of the above to determine whether you will move on to a live audition. Please also limit any processing of the sound (i.e. excess reverb or EQ) since this makes it difficult to evaluate your performance, voice, personality, etc.. Make certain that the audio quality is high and that the tracks are Mp3-playable, or that the CD has been finalized to play in all CD players.
